Lucknow University is included in the top universities of the country, a special work made it number-1

Lucknow University Ranking 2024: Lucknow University has achieved another milestone. This time LU has been ranked 98th among higher education institutions in India in the ranking released by Webometrics. LU has been ranked 47th among Indian universities. LU VC Prof. Alok Kumar Rai claims that LU is the only state university in Uttar Pradesh which is included in the top 100 rankings released by Webometrics.

What is Webometrics?

The Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University said that the Webometrics Ranking of Higher Education Institutions and Universities is an initiative of the Cybermetrics Lab. It is a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Scientificas (CSIC) of Spain. This ranking system evaluates more than 31000 higher education institutions around the world. It gives valuable information about the performance and impact of higher education institutions.

LU VC says that this ranking is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty, students, and staff. Lucknow University’s remarkable ranking in Webometrics underlines its status as a premier institute of higher education. Apart from this, BBAU has got 133rd position in the ranking released by Webometrics. BBAU administration says that our effort will be to make a place in the under-100 in the ranking of Webometrics next time.

LU was the first to implement NEP 2020. Under NEP 2020, LU has also started the first batch of fourth year in UG program, credit transfer and the first one-year PG program. Apart from this, LU has received NAAC A++. Category-1 status from UGC and NIRF ranking have given LU a position at the international level.

Apart from this, the researchers and faculty members of the university have consistently done high quality research. New teachers have contributed a lot in research development. Not only this, LU has also started online courses. These achievements of LU have helped in Webometrics ranking.
