Rishabh Pant new Lucknow Super Giants captain: Rishabh Pant has been appointed as the captain of its team by Lucknow Super Giants for the Indian Premier League 2025. Lucknow franchise had signed him/her for Rs 27 crore in the mega auction.

New Delhi. Indian cricket team’s explosive wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has done another great feat. Lucknow Super Giants has announced to make this player, who was the most expensive seller in the mega auction of the Indian Premier League 2025, the captain of the team. Rishabh Pant will captain Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025.

The 27-year-old Indian wicketkeeper-batsman was announced as the captain of LSG by franchise owner Sanjiv Goenka on Monday, January 20. Pant was signed by the Lucknow-based franchise in the mega auction of IPL 2025 for Rs 27 crore. Pant has previously been the captain of Delhi Capitals. he/she captained the Delhi team in IPL 2021, 2022 and 2024.

Rishabh Pant will be the fourth captain to take charge of Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League. Before him/her, KL Rahul, Krunal Pandya and Nicholas Pooran had captained Lucknow Super Giants in the world’s richest franchise cricket league.
