New Delhi: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi took a ride in a taxi and exposed the problems faced by the drivers. Rahul Gandhi has shared a video to show the difficulties faced by taxi drivers. In this video, he/she has explained how gig workers face problems.

Rahul Gandhi said that the Congress state governments will ensure justice by making concrete policies for gig workers and the opposition India Alliance will ensure the nationwide expansion of these policies with struggle. ‘Gig workers’ are those workers whose work is temporary. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi posted a video of an Uber cab ride on the social media platform ‘X’ in which he/she can be seen taking information from the driver Sunil Upadhyay about his/her experience and problems.

Rahul Gandhi said, ‘Low income and inflation killing them – this is the plight of India’s gig workers. During a discussion with Sunil Upadhyay ji during an Uber ride and then by meeting his/her family, I took stock of the problems of gig workers like cab drivers and delivery agents of the country.’ he/she said that with a ‘hand to mouth income’, they are barely able to survive and there is no savings and no basis for the family’s future.

The Congress leader said, ‘Congress state governments will do justice to these problems by making concrete policies – and INDIA Janbandhan will ensure its nationwide expansion with full struggle.’
