More than 130 countries of the world have approved it. 72 countries of the world consider it a crime, which provides for death on gay-sex in 13 countries. It is no longer illegal in India. It is definitely that gay marriage has not been approved in India yet.
The Supreme Court, while giving a historic verdict in September 2018, said that the physical relationship between two homosexuals would not be considered a criminal act with mutual consent. The then Chief Justice Deepak Mishra had said that homosexuals also have the same basic rights, which belong to an ordinary citizen. Everyone has the right to live with respect. Homosexuality was considered a crime in Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), but the Indian Justice Code (BNS) came into force on 1 July 2024, which does not mention any such law. This was also challenged in the Supreme Court, which was rejected.
No right to marry

Is homosexuality a disease?
Experts believe that no such scientific basis has been revealed so far, due to which homosexuality has been described as a mental disorder. This can be considered a natural variety. The US Cycriotic Association removed homosexuality from the category of mental illness in 1973. The World Health Organization (WHO) also separated it from the list of mental disorders in 1992. Experts believe that gay community should also get acceptance in society. This will end their inner fear and hesitation. Then he/she will be able to complain about the crime that happens to him/her and will end the gang who forcibly recover and blackmail them.
What to do if you get caught in the clutches of the gang?
Police officials say that if a gang is forced to recover or blackmail someone by implicating someone in his/her trap, then 112 should be called immediately. After this, you should go to the police station of that area and write your details in detail. If the police station level is not being heard, then go to the DCP of the district and complain.
