Lok Sabha election result: If these three phases had not supported BJP, its condition would have been bad, see the figures

New Delhi: The mandate of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 has arrived. BJP has become the largest party, but is far from the majority figure. At the same time, Congress has made a spectacular comeback and won 99 seats. No single party got the magic number to form the government, but the BJP-led NDA has a majority. It is believed that once again the government will be formed at the Center under the leadership of Narendra Modi. However, this election has also given a big setback to the BJP by stopping it at 240 seats. PM Modi started the NDA’s Lok Sabha election campaign with the slogan ‘Abki Baar-400 Paar’, but the NDA could not go beyond 292 seats. If we look closely at the Lok Sabha elections held in seven phases, then BJP got good seats in the middle phases. The Lok Sabha elections started with the first phase of voting on 19 April. Votes were cast on 102 seats in this phase. BJP won 30 of these seats. 27 seats went to Congress, 22 to DMK, 4 to Samajwadi Party and 2 seats to CPI. Candidates of other parties won 17 seats. After this, the second phase of voting was held on 87 seats on 26 April. This phase was very good for BJP and it won 46 seats. In the remaining seats, Congress got 17, Shiv Sena (UBT) got 3, IUML got 2, JDS got 2 and other parties got 17 seats.

Voting was held on 94 seats in the third phase on 7 May. BJP got the maximum number of seats in this phase. BJP candidates won 57 out of 94 seats. Apart from these, Congress won 15 seats, Samajwadi Party 6, JDU 3 and TMC 2 seats. 11 seats went to other parties. The fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections was on 13 May and voting took place on 96 seats. BJP also won a lot of seats in this phase and won 39. Congress won 14 seats, Telugu Desam Party 16, Trinamool Congress 7, YSRCP 4 and other parties won 16 seats.

The graph started falling after the fifth stage

The last three phases of the Lok Sabha elections did not prove to be very good for the BJP. Voting was held on 49 seats on May 20 under the fifth phase. Out of these, BJP won only 19 seats. Congress won 5 seats and Samajwadi Party won 7 seats in this phase. TMC won 6 seats and Shiv Sena (UBT) won 4 seats. Candidates of other parties won 8 seats. Voting was held on 25 May in the sixth phase for 58 Lok Sabha seats. BJP won 31 seats in this phase. In the remaining seats, Samajwadi Party won 10 and Congress candidates won 6. JDU and TMC won 4 seats each in this phase. 3 seats went to other parties.

BJP was limited to just 17 seats in the last phase

Voting took place on June 1 under the last and 7th phase. There were a total of 57 seats in this phase, out of which BJP was able to win only 17 seats. Congress and TMC won 9 seats each. In the seventh phase, Samajwadi Party got 6 seats and Aam Aadmi Party got 3 seats. Candidates of other parties won 13 seats. It is clear from these figures that BJP won good seats from the second phase to the fifth phase. But, in the first and subsequent three phases, the graph of the party could not rise as expected.
