Lok Sabha Chunav Result 2024: Nitish wants 4 ministries, Chirag, Manjhi also want ministerial conditions, tension in NDA even before Modi 3.0

New Delhi: As soon as the mandate of 2024 is revealed, political stir has intensified in Delhi. Be it the ruling NDA or the opposition All India Alliance, the round of meetings is going on. Meanwhile, the date of swearing-in of the new NDA government has come out. According to the information, Narendra Modi can again take oath as Prime Minister on 8 June. However, before the formation of the new government, the political parties included in the NDA have intensified their claim for the ministry. According to the information, Nitish Kumar’s party JDU has demanded 4 ministerial posts. At the same time, Chirag Paswan has demanded two, Jitan Ram Manjhi one and TDP has also demanded four ministries.

There is a dilemma in NDA regarding government formation

Political turmoil has intensified over the ruling coalition getting a majority in the Lok Sabha elections and the discussion of Prime Minister Modi’s third term. Senior leaders of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance will hold a meeting to form a new government. Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, JDU leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan will attend this meeting. Apart from these leaders, top leaders of BJP and its other allies are also likely to attend this meeting.

How will BJP manage its allies when it is far from majority?

In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP has won 240 seats. TDP has won 16, JDU 12, Shinde-led Shiv Sena has won seven and Chirag’s party has won five Lok Sabha seats. In such a situation, the role of all these parties will be very important in the formation of the new government. All the allies of NDA know this. This is the reason why they have now started demanding a bigger representation in the new government.

Nitish, Chirag, Manjhi placed their demands!

According to media reports, JDU, which is running the government in Bihar in alliance with NDA, has demanded 4 ministries from the centre. Among these, two cabinet and two state ministries have been demanded. Similar demands are also being reported from TDP. On the other hand, Chirag Paswan’s party, who calls himself PM Modi’s Hanuman, has also demanded one cabinet and one state minister post in the new government. HAM founder and former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi has also raised the demand for one ministerial post. It remains to be seen how PM Modi will divide the ministries among the allies in the new government.
