Listen seniors… if you indulge in ragging then you will be in deep trouble, DU has made strong arrangements

Delhi University will launch a campaign against ragging before the arrival of freshers in the new academic session 2024-25. Students will be made aware to not do ragging and to complain in case of ragging. Anti-ragging posters will be put up in Hindi and English. No outsider will be allowed to enter colleges, centers and hostels.

All colleges have been asked to use NCC and NSS students as volunteers. Police pickets will be set up outside girls’ colleges. There will also be patrolling outside the campus. Delhi Police has assured DU that women police in plain clothes will also be deployed outside the college campus. Every principal, director, head, warden has been told that they have the right to take punitive action wherever necessary.

  • Give written complaint in complaint box of college.

No Ragging Day and Week in DU

DU will observe ‘No Ragging Day’ on August 12 and ‘No Ragging Week’ from August 12 to August 18. A meeting of DU’s Proctorial Board was held on July 25, in which Delhi University officials along with police officers also participated. Several decisions were taken to prevent ragging in university and college campuses.

An undertaking will be taken from all students and hostel residents along with their parents. The university will set up two joint control rooms in the North Campus and South Campus (phone number 24119832), which will function from August 1 to August 10.
