Like hooliganism between supporters of British football teams … what did Shashi Tharoor say on Hindutva

New Delhi: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor made a sharp comment on Hindutva at the Jaipur Sahitya Festival on Sunday. he/she said that ‘Some people are making Hindutva like hooliganism between supporters of British football teams. These goons commit violence on those who do not support their team. Tharoor said that these people say, ‘You do not support my team, I will hit your head. Similarly, some people say in the name of Hindutva, Jai Shri Ram will not say, I will beat you. It has nothing to do with Hindutva. Tharoor ‘Ikigai’ co-writer Francesk was sharing the stage with Mirals. he/she discussed effort. The MP of Thiruvananthapuram said that there are four ways to be a good Hindu. Referring to Swami Vivekananda, Tharoor said that Vivekananda had said, “Hindus will never burn the fire of religion.” Tharoor satirized, ‘There is no place to say that my path is right. As some people unfortunately claim in the name of Hindutva – they make it like the identity of the team of British football goons. ‘

he/she said that some people spread violence in the name of Hindutva. Just as goons of football teams attack those who do not support their team, they also use religious slogans for violence. Tharoor said that killing ‘Jai Shri Ram’ is not Hindutva. he/she told four ways to understand Hindutva- Gyan Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Raj Yoga and Karma Yoga. Gyan Yoga is to gain knowledge from study. Bhakti Yoga is the path of devotion. Raj Yoga, meditation has to be focused. Karma Yoga is to serve humanity. According to Tharoor, Swami Vivekananda had said that Hindu would never be fanatic. Tharoor believes that Hindutva should not insist on walking on one way.
