When Jayalalithaa had promised to become CM

On 25 March 1989, the budget was to be presented in the Tamil Nadu Assembly. Even before the budget was presented, the leaders of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee stood up from their seats and started accusing CM M. Karunanidhi. Many leaders were making noise from behind. However, among all of them, the voice of Leader of Opposition Jayalalitha was the loudest. She said that Karunanidhi ji, your government tapped my phone, took wrong action against me. This is an insult to this assembly. You and your ministers should resign. Seeing the atmosphere deteriorating, Speaker PH Pandian urged everyone to calm down. After that, there was a scuffle in the assembly. Meanwhile, someone pushed CM Karunanidhi and he/she fell down. After that, the leaders of the ruling party moved towards the opposition to take revenge and started dragging the Leader of Opposition by her hair. After which some opposition leaders saved her and left from there. At that time, Leader of Opposition Jayalalitha, while leaving the assembly, swore that I will not forget this day, I will answer for what has happened to me today. Next time I will step into this assembly in the capacity of Chief Minister. After that, Jayalalithaa fulfilled her promise and took oath as Chief Minister on 24 June 1991.

Chandra Babu Naidu fulfilled his/her promise

In 2021, Naidu had walked out of the assembly in protest against the remarks against a family member and said he/she would return to the House only after becoming the chief minister. he/she will return to the house in 2024. TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu was sworn in as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday and fulfilled his/her promise.

Left the PM’s chair for a promise

Chaudhary Devi Lal is considered the real kingmaker of politics because he/she refused the PM’s chair because of his/her promise. Actually, what Chaudhary Devi Lal did in the 1989 elections, hardly anyone could have done. After the 1989 elections, the meeting of the parliamentary party of the United Front was going on. In this meeting, Devi Lal was accepted as the leader of the parliamentary party, so while thanking everyone, he/she said that you all consider me as Tau, let me remain Tau, I am handing over this post to Vishwanath Pratap Singh. It is said that Devi Lal had promised this to VP Singh even before the meeting of the parliamentary party. Devi Lal fulfilled the promise made to VP Singh and handed over the chair of the leader of the parliamentary party to VP Singh.

what is the whole matter

Let us tell you that during the Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi had reached Dausa in Rajasthan. At that time, he/she had given the responsibility of seven seats to Kirori Lal Meena. After that, while campaigning for the Dausa seat, Kirori Lal Meena had said that if the party loses even one seat out of seven, I will leave the ministerial post and will serve water here. When the result of June 4 came, the results were surprising. BJP lost Bharatpur, Dausa, Tonk-Sawai Madhopur and Dholpur-Karauli seats.
