Lessons from Lok Sabha elections, how BJP changed track in Assembly elections, understand from PM Modi’s statement

New Delhi : It is said that one can drink burnt buttermilk by blowing milk. There is another saying that attack is the best defense. Amidst the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections, both these sayings are fitting perfectly on BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. If you don’t believe it, just watch and listen to PM Modi’s speech at the Deoghar rally. A wonderful mixture of ‘he/she drinks burnt buttermilk by blowing milk’ and ‘Attack is the best defence’. The issue of reservation. Lessons from the results of Lok Sabha elections. Counter-attack on the same issue of reservation which was exploited by the opposition and Congress against BJP. Direct attack on Rahul Gandhi. Question on intentions. To say that their sole aim is to end reservation. First distribute and then snatch reservation. On one hand, Yogi Adityanath is warning with the slogan ‘Bantege to Katenge’, while Narendra Modi is giving advice with the slogan ‘If there is one, there is good’.

By the time BJP warned, it was too late.
It is clearly visible that BJP has learned a lesson from the mistake made during the Lok Sabha elections. In April-May, when the noise of Lok Sabha election campaign was at its peak, an edited video of Amit Shah regarding reservation was being widely circulated on social media. Looking at the video, it seemed that Shah was claiming that he/she would abolish reservation. The aggressive opposition on the issue of caste census was trying to set the narrative that if BJP comes to power, the Constitution will be in danger. Reservation will be in danger. Perhaps over-confident, the BJP then took the opposition’s attacks very lightly. However, later the party filed a case regarding the edited video, action was also taken against some but by then it was too late.

‘If we divide, we will be cut’ and ‘if we are united, we will be divided’
This time BJP does not want to make any mistake in the assembly elections. UP CM Yogi Adityanath has tried to blunt the edge of the opposition’s caste census issue with the slogan ‘Bantenge to Katenge’. An attempt has been made to bridge the caste divide with ‘unity of Hindutva’. PM Modi also raised the mild version of ‘Bantenge to Katenge’ slogan ‘Ek hain to nek hain’.

Congress’s intentions are dangerous. Rajkumar of Congress has made it clear that he/she wants to abolish SC, ST, OBC reservation. When his/her father (Rajiv Gandhi) was the Chief of Congress, he/she had announced to abolish reservation, but due to the unity of SC, ST, OBC, he/she lost the election (1989 Lok Sabha election) badly. From then till today, Congress has never got absolute majority in the central government. Even today, in the states where the population of SC, ST and OBs is high, Congress has been wiped out.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Deoghar rally on Wednesday

PM Modi’s counter-attack on reservation issue
Rahul Gandhi is also aggressively raising the issue of ‘caste census’ in the assembly elections. In response, Prime Minister Narendra Modi counter-attacked on the issue of reservation and said that Rajiv Gandhi wants to end the reservation, his/her son also wants the same.

‘Rajiv Gandhi wanted to end reservation, Rahul Gandhi also wanted the same’
Just consider this statement of PM Modi. he/she says in the rally, ‘Congress’s intentions are dangerous.

PM Modi claimed that Congress gave advertisements in newspapers during Rajiv Gandhi’s rule. Declared that reservation is a bondage, it is bonded labour. he/she said that Congress wants to destroy the unity of SC, ST, OBC and the day this happens, it will end reservation anyway.

‘They want to break the collective power of SC, ST, OBC’
Pointing to the caste census, Narendra Modi said that Congress is trying to divide the SC, ST and OBC communities. he/she said, ‘Therefore Congress has hatched a new conspiracy. Congress has played a new game to throw dust in your eyes. These people want to break the collective power of SC, ST, OBC, want to break it into pieces… I have come to warn you, to wake you up. You have to be more careful and remember that if you are one, you are safe.’

‘Congress leaders insult tribal daughters’
PM Modi also accused Congress of insulting tribal women. he/she said, ‘Congress leaders insult tribal daughters. When BJP decided to make a tribal daughter the President of India, Congress tried its best to defeat them. Even today they insult President Murmu.
