Leave the double standards, take action against India’s opponents too… Canada was once again warned by Delhi

New Delhi: India has once again strongly urged Canada to take action against anti-India elements carrying out wrong activities from its soil. This comment by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal came on Thursday. In fact, Canada has accused two people for threatening to kill Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on social media, but no such action has been taken against those who threatened Indian leaders and diplomats. Jaiswal said, “We have seen these reports. When a democracy adopts different standards to enforce the rule of law and freedom of expression, it only reveals its own double standards.” he/she said, “We expect Canada to take action against those anti-India elements who have repeatedly threatened Indian leaders, institutions, airlines and diplomats.” Jaiswal said, “We want the same level of strict action to be taken on the threats made against us.”

What is the matter?

A 67-year-old Edmonton man has been charged with three counts under Canada’s Criminal Code, including posting threats on YouTube to kill PM Trudeau, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland and New Democratic Party Leader Jagmeet Singh, according to a statement released by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) on Monday. In a separate case, a 23-year-old Calgary man has been charged with threatening to kill Trudeau on June 6.
