CUET UG 2023: Applications are currently being filled for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2023 for admission to undergraduate courses. Last year, 90 universities gave admission through CUET. But this time 168 universities have joined so far. Meanwhile, a big update has also come out regarding the last date of application. According to the information, the last date of application can be extended by UGC. Currently, the last date to apply for CUET is March 12.
According to the information, the 168 universities include 44 central universities and 31 state universities such as Barkatullah University, Bhopal, Dr. BR Ambedkar School of Economics, Karnataka, Cotton University, Guwahati and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.
According to a senior Dehradun official “There are 27 deemed universities which will admit students on the basis of CUET score for their undergraduate programs. This year 66 private universities are also participating in the CUET entrance test, including Bennett University, Uttar Pradesh, NIIT University, Rajasthan and UPES.
CUET UG 2023 entrance exam will be conducted on May 21 and 31. Last year, the UGC had said that admission in the Central Universities of the country would be done through CUET only. Admission in any university will not be given on the basis of 12th marks. This year the process of admission to UGC courses through CUET has been completed by July. Whereas the academic session will start from 1st August.
The first edition of CUET-UG was conducted in July last year and it had some glitches, which led the National Testing Agency (NTA) to cancel the exam at several centres. While many students were informed about the cancellation a night before the exam. At the same time, many students were returned from the centers.
Around 14.9 lakh candidates have applied for admission to CUET this year. According to this record, CUET has become the second largest exam in the country and it has also crossed the average of 9 lakh registrations of JEE Main. Let us tell you that NEET UG is India’s biggest entrance exam. In this, about 18 lakh candidates apply every year.
