Kohli can play Ranji Trophy match in Rajkot, may face Jadeja

New Delhi. Usually, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja are seen playing for different teams in IPL. But this time both the Indian superstars can face each other in white dress on the same field. There will be an opportunity for Ranji Trophy match. Kohli can play for Delhi while Jadeja can be seen playing for Saurashtra in Ranji this time. The second leg of Ranji Trophy is starting on 23 January. These two players can face each other in the Group C match at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.

BCCI has recently implemented this rule that the players who are under its contract will have to play domestic cricket in their free time. The performance of Indian batsmen was poor recently on the Australia tour. From Virat Kohli to Rohit Sharma, everyone was a flop. Now, to improve their form, star cricketers can also turn to domestic cricket, which includes Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Pant-Jadeja. It has been a long time since Kohli played domestic cricket. Same is the condition of Rohit Sharma also.

Virat did not inform DDCA
According to website Cricbuzz, Virat Kohli has not yet contacted DDCA regarding his/her availability regarding whether he/she will play Ranji matches for Delhi or not. Despite this, there are chances of Kohli playing for Delhi in Rajkot. However, it is not yet confirmed whether he/she will play Ranji matches after joining the Delhi team or not. DDCA Secretary Ashok Sharma has said that we will announce our team on Friday (January 17). Till now Virat has not informed us about his/her availability.

Virat’s situation is with Jadeja also
Jadeja’s situation is similar to Virat Kohli. This all-rounder has also decided to spend time with his/her family after returning from the two-month long tour of Australia. After returning to India, he/she has not yet informed the Saurashtra Cricket Association about his/her availability whether he/she is available to play the second round of Ranji matches or not. A top official of Saurashtra Cricket Association said that Jadeja has a chance of playing but he/she has not informed about his/her availability.
