American reality TV star Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe Kardashian were part of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding festivities in Mumbai between July 12-14. On Monday, Kim posted new pictures from the celebrations, in which she was seen wearing a white and gold Manish Malhotra lehenga and choli. Now, a post on Reddit claimed that Kim had shared a picture of herself with an idol of Lord Ganesha and after receiving heavy criticism, Kim deleted her Instagram post. Kim Kardashian’s Instagram post, which is now visible on her account without the picture of the Ganesha idol, shows her in a desi look. Her caption read, “Diamonds and pearls for the Ambani wedding.”

But people’s keen eyes kept that photo safe and now it has gone viral. On Tuesday, a Reddit post about Kim’s new photos included a photo of Kim placing her face on the Ganesha idol during Ambani’s wedding celebrations. One user wrote – Will not tolerate insult to Indian culture.

The post said, ‘Kim is using Lord Ganesha for her useless photo ops. Conclusion of Ambani’s wedding. This woman needs to be punished quickly. Neeta Aunty, educate your guests.’ Many people reacted to the post of Kim’s photo with the idol of Lord Ganesha. One wrote- She deleted it, it’s good for her. One said- Did she remove it from her post? I swiped and it’s not there anymore, but I’m not surprised that she did something like this.

One also said- This is not helping her gain any support from the Indian audience that she is looking for. What a fool. A Redditor wrote- Guess she doesn’t even care about the Indian audience, she got paid to come to the wedding, and that’s it. One said- Hello, she doesn’t care, why would she care? She has no desire to respect Indian culture or learn about it.

On July 11, Kim and Khloe arrived in Mumbai for a star-studded evening with Anant and Radhika and were welcomed to India with a traditional Aarti ceremony. Later, the sisters went for an autorickshaw ride wearing a bindi. The sisters were also shooting for their show ‘The Kardashians’ in Mumbai.
