New Delhi: Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has once again surprised everyone with his/her witty reply. When a journalist asked him/her to choose between Kim Jong Un or George Soros for dinner, he/she jokingly said, ‘It is Navratri, and I am fasting.’

This incident is an example of Jaishankar’s cleverness and great humor. On many occasions before, he/she has impressed everyone with his/her answers. Once when he/she was asked a question about India-US relations, he/she jokingly said, ‘So are you accusing me of threatening America?’ After this he/she explained the changing relations between the two countries, which was praised by everyone.

Have strongly criticized George Soros

In 2023, George Soros raised questions on India’s democracy and the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Giving a befitting reply to this, Jaishankar had said, ‘There are still some people who feel that their ideas are supreme.’ he/she dismissed Soros’s claims of stripping citizenship as absurd and described his/her comments as intimidating and damaging to the social fabric. Jaishankar described Soros as a dangerous outsider and compared his/her interference in Indian politics to colonialism.

Jaishankar is going to Pakistan for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting to be held on 15 and 16 October.
