Khesari Lal Yadav’s Bhojpuri film ‘Rang De Basanti’ created history, earned well in three days


Bhojpuri superstar Khesari Lal Yadav’s film ‘Rang De Basanti’ has created history. For the first time, a Bhojpuri film was released pan-India and it earned a lot in just three days. Made in a budget of 10 crores, this film was released in about 250 theatres across the country. There was controversy regarding this. But it was successful in gathering crowds in theatres. Khesari Lal Yadav’s Bhojpuri film ‘Rang De Basanti’ first came into controversy when the makers blamed the censor board. The censor board ordered to remove many scenes and dialogues. That too a few days before the release. In such a situation, the makers had to bear a lot of loss. Somehow this film was released in theatres and is now earning in lakhs.

Earned so many lakh rupees in three days

Bhojpuri films are not released pan India, but Khesari’s film was released across the country and collected 45 lakh rupees in three days. This figure is very low in terms of Bollywood or South films, but a Bhojpuri film being released in multiplexes and earning so much is a big deal.

Shooting took place in different parts of the country

Apart from Khesari Lal Yadav, this film also stars Rati Pandey and Diana Khan. Directed by Premanshu Singh, this film has been shot in many big cities including Rajasthan, Odisha, Chennai and Madhya Pradesh.

Crowds of people gathered in Motihari

Khesari also shared a video which showed that a huge crowd gathered to watch the film at a cineplex in Motihari, Bihar.
