‘Khel Khel Mein’ and ‘Veda’ are in a shameful state on the 9th day, they lost their breath trying to collect every penny

While on one hand ‘Stree 2’ is earning a lot even after 9 days and has broken many records, on the other hand, ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and ‘Veda’ have also made a record. This record is of being a disaster. Both the films have big stars and a huge budget, but despite putting in all their efforts, they are not able to earn crores of rupees. On the 9th day, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and John Abraham’s ‘Veda’ crossed all limits. The earnings of both the films have gone down and have been reduced to lakhs. In the first weekend, ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and ‘Veda’ could not even take advantage of three holidays. The budget of ‘Khel Khel Mein’ is Rs 100 crore and apart from Akshay, it has stars like Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu and Amy Virk. Both these films were released on 15 August on the occasion of Independence Day along with ‘Stree 2’. In this tough clash, ‘Stree 2’ overtook both these films and left them in a tough spot in terms of earnings. The budget of ‘Stree 2’ is only 50 crores, which is half of the budget of ‘Khel Khel Mein’. But its earnings have surprised everyone. ‘Stree 2’ has earned as much on the 9th day as ‘Veda’ has earned in the entire 9 days.

The budget of this film starring John Abraham, Sharvari Wagh and Abhishek Banerjee is Rs 50 crore. After earning Rs 6.3 crore on the first day, its earnings have been falling rapidly. By the fifth day, ‘Veda’ somehow earned 1-2 crore, but the situation worsened from the sixth day. And on the 9th day, its condition became so worse that with a drop of -50.00%, it earned only Rs 30 lakh. Now the total collection of ‘Veda’ in 9 days has become 17.9 crore. Whereas on the 9th day itself, ‘Stree 2’ earned 17.5 crore. On the other hand, if we talk about worldwide collection, ‘Veda’ has done a business of 21.20 crore in 9 days.

Forget about profit, it is now a hundred steps away from recovering even its cost. This film has proved to be a complete disaster. The only good thing for ‘Khel Khel Mein’ is that it is earning better than ‘Veda’. It has earned 31.10 crores worldwide in 9 days.

On the other hand, what can be said about ‘Stree 2’. This film which collected 291.65 crores in the first weekend itself earned 17.5 crores on the 9th day. Its total collection has reached 3091.5 crores. Whereas, it has earned 441 crores worldwide.
