‘Kharge ji has cracked the whip’, Rahul Gandhi said on Congress President’s statement of advice to party leaders in the meeting

New Delhi: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday pulled up leaders for making statements beyond party lines. Kharge said that there is a need to learn lessons from the election results of Haryana and Maharashtra and take tough decisions to fix accountability and plug the shortcomings. he/she also said that infighting was hurting the Congress and urged leaders to stop making anti-party comments.Rahul supported Kharge
The Congress chief said that unless we fight the elections unitedly and stop making statements against each other, how will we be able to defeat our opponents politically? Kharge said all these things today in the CWC meeting organized to analyze the defeat of Congress in Haryana and Maharashtra. On this, Rahul Gandhi replied that Kharge ji has broken the whip. The Congress MP said that Kharge ji has used the whip.

EVMs have made the electoral process doubtful…
During the meeting, Kharge said that he/she believed that EVMs had made the electoral process suspicious. The Congress President stressed that it is the constitutional responsibility of the Election Commission to ensure free and fair elections in the country. he/she also stressed that state assembly elections should not be fought on national issues. he/she said for how long will state leaders contest assembly elections with national leaders on national issues. Kharge also called for plugging the shortcomings in the party by learning lessons from the election results and said the party must formulate a strategy to effectively counter propaganda and misinformation from its rivals.

We need to stay united…
Kharge said in the CWC meeting that it is important that we strictly follow discipline. We have to remain united in every situation. The party also has the weapon of discipline. But we do not want to put our workers in any bondage. Urging Congress workers not to be disappointed with the election results, he/she said everyone needs to think that the victory of the Congress party is our victory and the defeat is our defeat. Our strength lies in the strength of the party.

Fascist forces are deepening their roots…
Kharge indicated that a major change would be made in the party. Some Congress leaders in the meeting underlined the poor organizational structure in many states. he/she stressed that the party cannot achieve success by following old methods. he/she said that you have to see what your political opponent is doing on a daily basis. We have to take decisions on time. Accountability should be fixed. The Congress President said that due to the repeated defeats of the Congress, the fascist forces are deepening their roots. he/she said that one by one they are also capturing the state institutions.

Kharge said that Congress may have lost the elections, but there is no doubt that unemployment, inflation and economic inequality are burning issues in this country. he/she stressed that caste census is also an important issue today. he/she also called upon the workers and leaders to start preparations for future elections in advance and check the voter list properly. Kharge said the ways of fighting elections have changed and the party will have to improve its micro-communication strategy compared to its rivals. he/she said that ways also need to be found to fight disinformation and misinformation. We have to move forward taking lessons from past results. The shortcomings have to be removed. Difficult decisions have to be taken with confidence.

Mallikarjun Kharge asserted that the mood during the elections was in favor of the Congress, but added that just a favorable environment does not guarantee victory. he/she said that we have to learn to convert the environment into results. What is the reason why we are not able to take advantage of the environment? Kharge further said that we have to strengthen our organization till the booth level. We will have to be more alert day and night, from making the voter list to counting the votes.
