New Delhi. Team India on Saturday (January 18) announced a 15-member squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. But Karun Nair, who created a stir with his/her recent performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, was not included in the team. he/she has scored 725 runs in 7 matches in Vijay Hazare Trophy. Ajit Agarkar told why he/she did not get a chance.

Ajit Agarkar said that the performance of the Vidarbha batsman attracted his/her attention, but at the moment it was difficult for him/her to make a place in the team. “We discussed about Karun Nair. An average of over 750 is special, but we can’t fit everyone in a 15-member team. But it is difficult to fit everyone in this team. Ajit Agarkar further said. “If someone gets hurt, there can be discussion about compassion.”

Nair took Vidarbha to the final by playing an inning of 88 runs in 44 balls in the semi-finals of Vijay Hazare Trophy against Maharashtra. Before the semi-finals, Nair had scored 122 not out against Rajasthan, 112 not out against Uttar Pradesh, 11 not out against Tamil Nadu, 163 not out against Chandigarh, 44 not out against Chhattisgarh and 112 not out against Jammu and Kashmir.
