Karna Lake is a popular tourist destination located in Karnal district of Haryana. Also known as Karna Tal, the lake looks spectacular at sunset. The lake as well as the district is named after the famous character of Mahabharata, Karna. Karna Lake is a man-made lake and also has a beautiful tourist complex near it. Babar Mosque

Babar Mosque

Babar Mosque is also one of the places worth seeing in Karnal. It was built by the Mughal emperor Babur in 1528 to celebrate his/her victory over Ibrahim Lodi. This temple is the only abode of Goddess Sita in the entire country. Its intricate architecture will be a feast for the eyes and make one admire the intricate carvings made on the bricks. Tomb of Miran Sahib

The tomb of Miran Sahib was built for the mystic saint Miran. Syed Mohammad or Meeran Sahib was a mystic saint, known for his/her unique writings. Interestingly, it is said that only his/her head was buried in Karnal. After being killed in battle, his/her body was buried in Muzaffarnagar in neighboring Uttar Pradesh, while his/her head was brought to Karnal. How to reach Karnal

By Road (by car or bus):
The distance from Delhi to Karnal is approximately 125 km.
You can reach Karnal from Delhi via National Highway 44 (NH-44). It is directly and easily accessible through this route.
The road journey takes approximately 2-3 hours, depending on the traffic conditions.

bus service: Regular Haryana Roadways buses are available from Kashmere Gate ISBT, Delhi which will take you to Karnal.

by train: Direct trains are available from New Delhi Railway Station to Karnal. This journey takes about 2-3 hours.
Major Trains: Shatabdi Express, Jammu Mail, Himalayan Queen, etc.
