Rujuta keeps sharing tips and ways to stay fit and healthy on her Instagram and this time she has told why it is important for children to exercise.

Rujuta posted a video on Instagram and said that children do not exercise or do physical activity for as long as they should. She said that children between the ages of five and 17 spend seven hours a day on gadgets and this is ruining their health.

Rujuta said that children should exercise for at least 60 minutes a day. Due to children not exercising, the problem of obesity, allergies and frequent illness is increasing. According to the World Health Organization, children should play or do some physical activity for 60 minutes every day until they are 17 years old and it is not that doing more than 60 minutes of activity provides any more benefits.

By doing 60 minutes of physical activity every day, children’s musculoskeletal tissues remain healthy and bones, muscles and joints remain healthy. This also keeps the child’s heart and lungs healthy and develops neuromuscular awareness, which helps in coordination and movement control. This also keeps the child’s weight balanced and his/her mental health remains healthy and his/her self-confidence increases.
