Karan Johar did not give work to Himani Shivpuri after KG3, the actress told the reason

Actress Himani Shivpuri has played different characters in many films and entertained the audience. She has also given brilliant performances in movies like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. Now the actress has revealed that Karan Johar never cast her again after KG3. The actress had said something that made the filmmaker angry. Himani Shivpuri has now told about this in an interview. In an interview given to Siddharth Kannan, Himani Shivpuri told that she had done a very lovely role in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. That is why she got KG3. However, when the casting of ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ happened, she realized that she might have angered Karan Johar. ‘During the last scene of Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Karan Johar came to me and said, it was great working with you Himani ji. You are my lucky charm. I then told him/her, please give me a good role from next time.’

Karan Johar told Himani, ‘Yes, I will do that.’ The actress then recalled meeting Nikhil Advani at a screening, where the filmmaker told her that the shooting of ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ was about to begin and he/she wanted to include the actress in it.

Himani further said, ‘I asked Yash Johar, who was standing nearby, for the signing amount and he/she gave me one dollar! I told my secretary that he/she should meet Nikhil because I had spoken to him/her but when he/she met him/her, he/she was told that there was no such role for me. After this, some more Dharma films came, but I was not called, so I was surprised as to what was happening.’

Himani Shivpuri questioned Karan Johar

Himani Shivpuri later recalled her meeting with Karan Johar at an award show and said that she had asked Karan Johar what happened when Nikhil contacted her, yet she was not cast in ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’. ‘Karan told me, no no Himani ji, that role was not enough for you. I will call you only when I find a role worthy of you. Then I thought that maybe my point was accepted. That chapter ended here. I feel bad because everything was good. We used to gossip a lot and were good friends.’
