At least 42 people, including five women, lost their lives in firing incidents in Karachi between 1 to 28 January, 2025, Eri News reported police officers.
Additionally, 233 people, including five women, were injured in these incidents.
Five people were killed, which were reported in various areas of the city, thwarting robbery efforts in firing events. In other examples, individuals lost their lives as a result of stray gun or aerial fire. However, any of the seven people, who were killed in firing incidents – were named – were named.

Road accidents, robbery resistance and aerial firing also contributed to a spike in deaths in Karachi in January. According to the Chipa Foundation, 528 people, including children and the elderly, were injured in road accidents, and as a result 36 people died.
