‘Kantara 2’ teaser: Rishabh Shetty returns in Shiva form, blood soaked man waving trident brings the saga of dynasty


Hours after announcing the official release date of ‘Kantara 2’, the makers of ‘Kantara 2’ also released its first teaser, which made the prequel of the 2022 film look even more dangerous. With the title ‘Kantara A Legend Chapter 1’, the 82-second promo video is a little short for fans but it is awesome. Also, it takes place before the events of Rishabh Shetty’s 2022 film. The teaser begins with the words, ‘The moment has come. The divine forest whispers.’ Something is visible burning on the black screen. In the background, a blurry picture shows Shiva (Rishabh Shetty) walking through the forest carrying a torch. As he/she is surrounded by fire, a voice announces, ‘Light! Everything is visible in the light! But this is not light! It’s a vision! A vision that shows us what was yesterday, what is and what will be! can not you see?’

Amidst the darkness, Shiva’s face emerges. The teaser also reveals that the story takes place during the reign of the Kadamba dynasty. As the full moon appears in a cave, a man covered in blood is seen waving a trident. Rishabh looks amazing with Rudraksha around his/her neck and long wavy hair. When his/her face is finally revealed, we see glowing embers in his/her eyes.

‘Kantara 2’ release date

he/she himself received the National Film Award for the 2022 film written and directed by Rishabh Shetty. ‘Kantara A Legend Chapter 1’ will hit the screens on October 2, 2025, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

Produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Films, Kantara 2 will be released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali and English. While sharing the promo video, the production house wrote on social media, ‘Step into the echoes of the past.’
