Kanpur test may be washed out due to rain, heavy rain is expected for the first 3 days


New Delhi. The Indian cricket team intends to clean sweep the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. Team India won the first match played in Chennai by a huge margin of 280 runs in four days. By winning the match to be played in Kanpur, captain Rohit Sharma wants to strengthen his/her claim in the World Test Championship final. The fun of this match may be spoiled due to rain. There is a possibility of heavy rain in the first three days of play.

In the first test match played in Chennai, India scored 376 runs in the first innings and then bowled out Bangladesh for 149 runs. R Ashwin scored a century in the first innings while Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant scored centuries in the second innings. Captain Rohit Sharma declared the second innings at 287 runs for 4 wickets. On the fourth day of the match, Bangladesh team was bowled out for 234 runs in front of the lethal bowling of Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.

The Indian team is all set to win the series as they will look to continue their form in the second Test at Green Park in Kanpur. Team India will have to keep an eye on the skies. There is a threat of rain in Kanpur in the next few days. The second Test is scheduled to begin on Friday, September 27 but the northern city is likely to receive rain for the next few days.

How will be the weather of Kanpur
According to weather forecasting company AccuWeather, there is a high chance of rain before and during the Test match. On September 26, the eve of the game, there is a 79% chance of thunderstorms. On September 27, the first day of the match, the chance of thunderstorms throughout the day rises to 92%. The chance of rain drops slightly to 80% on September 28 (day two) and then to 59% on September 29 (day three). The chances of rain then drop significantly on the next two days, with the chances of rain falling to 3% and 1% respectively on September 30 (day four) and October 1 (day five).
