Emergency… is the most sensational chapter of Indian democracy and I am eagerly waiting for its release worldwide on September 6, 2024.’

Kangana will be seen playing the role of Indira Gandhi

In the film, Kangana Ranaut will be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi. Let us tell you that due to internal and external threats in the country, emergency was imposed in India for 21 months on 25 June 1975.

The film is made under the banner of Zee Studio and Manikarnika Films

Apart from Kangana, the film will feature actors like Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary and late Satish Kaushik. Later the release date of the film was extended by 7 months and it was said that it would be released on 14 June 2024, but Kangana Ranaut postponed it too due to the Lok Sabha elections.
