Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency and Rasha Thadani’s Azad have a slow start, know how much will be earned on the opening day

Kangana Ranaut’s much talked about ‘Emergency’ has finally been released in theaters on Friday, January 17. Amidst all the controversies and courts, this film on former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi has faced competition from Rasha Thadani and Aman Devgan’s ‘Azad’. Friday is also National Cinema Lover’s Day. Tickets are available at a discounted rate of Rs 99. But sadly, neither ‘Emergency’ nor ‘Azad’ seems to be getting much benefit from it. Both the films have had a slow start in the morning and afternoon shows. In such a situation, let us know how much both the films can earn on the opening day. ‘Emergency’ is very important for Kangana Ranaut’s film career. Since the success of ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ in 2015, she has been yearning for a big hit. Since then, 10 of his/her films have been released, but only ‘Manikarnika’ could get the tag of an average film. All the rest have proved to be flops. Now she has brought ‘Emergency’ with a budget of Rs 25 crore, in which she is not only in the lead role but is also its director and co-producer.

In ‘Emergency’ shows, spectators were seen only on 10-15% seats.

The morning and afternoon shows of ‘Emergency’ have not seen many viewers in theatres. On an average, only 10-15% of the seats in the film shows are occupied by the audience. Whereas in multiplexes there is an opportunity to watch films at very affordable prices on Friday. Kangana Ranaut’s previous release ‘Tejas’ had collected a nett of Rs 1.23 crore on the opening day. The earnings of ‘Emergency’ are definitely going to be more than this, but it would be unreasonable to expect too much from it on the first day.

‘Emergency’ Box Office Prediction

Advance booking of ‘Emergency’ has not earned much. In such a situation, the entire responsibility is on spot booking and word of mouth. Considering the weak pre-sales booking and slow start, it is estimated that ‘Emergency’ is going to make a net collection of Rs 2-3 crore in the country on the opening day. This figure is certainly very low, but the film is also being praised. In such a situation, there are definitely chances of the film’s earnings increasing in the coming weekend.

Condition of ‘Azad’ is also not very good on the first day

On the other hand, Aman Devgan and Rasha Thadani are debuting in Bollywood with ‘Azad’ directed by Abhishek Kapoor. Ajay Devgan also has an extended cameo in the film. The problem with ‘Azad’ is that it has not been able to create much buzz before its release at the ground level. Yes, the song ‘Oui Amma’ of the film has definitely been in the news, but the lack of audience in its shows on the opening day also shows that its condition is also not very good.

‘Azad’ depends on word of mouth

There is a horse at the center of the story of ‘Azad’. Basically it is a story of love, loyalty and dedication between man and animal. In such a situation, it is very important for today’s audience to connect with it. Like ‘Emergency’, this film is also completely dependent on word-of-mouth.

‘Azad’ box office prediction

In terms of clash, Kangana’s ‘Emergency’ definitely seems to be winning on Friday, because ‘Azad’ is seen making a net collection of Rs 1-1.75 crore on the opening day. The budget of this film is around Rs 50 crores.

‘Pushpa 2’ still has power, there may be an upset in the weekend

Here, Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’ still stands as a challenge for both the newly released films. The reloaded version of this 44 day old film has been released on Friday. 20 minutes of footage has been added to the film. In such a situation, there are high chances that there will be a jump in the earnings of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded’ in the weekend. Obviously, this will have a direct impact on ‘Emergency’ and ‘Azad’ also.
