Kalki 2898 AD advance booking: Prabhas is coming like a storm, 14 lakh tickets sold, one day left

In the year 2024, while films from Bollywood to South Cinema have not been able to do much wonders so far, it seems that ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ will settle the score for everyone. At least on the opening day, this film is going to earn a lot. The bumper advance booking of this film directed by Nag Ashwin is surprising. By Wednesday afternoon, 14 lakh tickets have been sold for the opening day. A new record has been made in Hyderabad. And what’s more, there is still 16 hours left for advance booking before the release on Thursday, June 27. ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has become the first Indian film of the year 2024, which has sold more than 10 lakh tickets through advance booking for the first day. According to the report of sacnilk, till 12 noon on Wednesday, the film has earned Rs 38.41 crore from advance booking. Seeing the craze of fans, the shows of the film are to be shown in theaters from 5:30 am on Thursday.

Advance booking of 50 crores before release!

Looking at the pace of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, it seems that before its release on June 27, this film will earn more than 50 crores from advance booking. This will be the biggest pre-sale of any Indian film till date. The strongest advance booking of the film is coming from the Telugu version, from where it has earned about 30 crores. After this is the Hindi version, where so far advance booking of about 3 crores has been done. In Hindi, this film is performing better than Prabhas’s last release ‘Salaar’.

A new record was made in Hyderabad

Meanwhile, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has created a new record of advance booking in Hyderabad city. ‘Salaar’ had an advance booking of Rs 12 crore in Hyderabad. Whereas ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is seen earning around 14 crores here only from pre-sales.

Looking at the advance booking figures, fan craze and a big release on around 5000 screens at the box office, it seems that ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ will do a net collection of Rs 120 crore on the first day in India alone. While a gross collection of more than 60 crores is expected in foreign countries. In such a situation, this film can take a gross opening of 180 to 200 crores on the worldwide opening day. If this happens, then Kalki 2898 AD will be the third Indian film to achieve this feat after RRR and ‘Bahubali 2’.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’, made under the banner of Vaijayanti Movies, is a scientific-fiction film, which is said to be based on a historical epic. Its budget is Rs 600 crore. Apart from Prabhas, the film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in the lead roles. The film is releasing in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil in the country and the world on 27 June 2024. The film is also being released in 3D, IMAX and IMAX 3D versions.
