Junior NTR got the biggest opening of his/her career of 140+ Cr, but ‘Devra’ lagged behind Kalki 2898 AD.

Telugu superstar Jr NTR’s action-drama ‘Devra: Part 1’ has taken the box office by storm. This has become the biggest solo release of the actor’s career. The film, which was released in theaters with a huge advance booking of Rs 38.84 crore, has earned a bumper collection of more than Rs 140 crore worldwide on the first day. Jr NTR has become the second Telugu superstar after his/her co-star Prabhas, whose film has done a business of more than Rs 100 crore on the opening day. However, it could not defeat Kalki 2898 AD. Junior NTR is in a double role in ‘Devra: Part 1’ directed by Koratala Siva. While he/she is also accompanied by stars like Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Prakash Raj. The budget of the film is Rs 300 crores and if the earnings with which it has hit the theaters continues week after weekend, the film will create new records at the box office.

‘Devra’ box office collection day 1

On Friday, a huge craze regarding ‘Devra’ was seen in South India. According to the report of sacnilk, the film has made a net collection of Rs 77 crore on the first day at the domestic box office including all five languages. Of this, the highest earning of Rs 68.60 crore has come from the Telugu version. In Telugu states, the occupancy of the film has been around 80% from morning to late night shows.

‘Devra’ earned only Rs 7 crore in Hindi

Apart from Telugu, the performance of ‘Devra’ in other languages ​​has been average. To break the record, it will have to earn better in the Hindi belt. The film has earned only Rs 7 crore from the Hindi version on the first day. Whereas a business of Rs 80 lakh has been done from Tamil, Rs 30 lakh from Malayalam and Rs 30 lakh from Kannada. However, it is expected that the business of the film will increase in the Hindi version also due to word of mouth during the weekend.

‘Devra’ remained far away from RRR, lagged behind even Kalki 2898 AD

Two years after the supersuccess of RRR, Junior NTR has returned to the screen with ‘Devra’. Certainly, it has been included in the list of highest grossing Indian films on the first day. But it has lagged behind Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ released this year. Kalki 2898 AD had a net collection of Rs 95.30 crore in the country and a gross of Rs 177.70 crore worldwide on the opening day. Whereas RRR did a business of Rs 223 crore worldwide and Rs 133 crore in the country on the first day.
