JP Nadda and Shivraj Singh have become ministers, then who will become the national president of BJP?

New Delhi: After the formation of the new government, the process of change at the organisational level will begin in BJP. The selection of the new national president was pending and now after J.P. Nadda joining the government, it has become even more clear that the party will get a new national president. Nadda’s term as president ended in January and he/she was given an extension till the Lok Sabha elections.Who will be the national president of BJP?
There were many discussions about who would be the new national president. The names of former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan and former Haryana CM Manohar Lal were also being discussed. Now both of them have become ministers in the NDA government at the center, so now discussions on new names will begin. Amidst various discussions, one discussion is going on that the new national president can come from Uttar Pradesh, because this state has given a big blow to BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. It was also said that the position of the organization has weakened in Uttar Pradesh. However, the name of a leader from Maharashtra is also being discussed who is currently handling an important responsibility in the organization.


The president will be appointed only after the approval of the union
In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP had set a target of winning 370 seats, but could not even reach close to the magic number of 272. After this, it is believed that now the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh will also pay more attention to the organization and whoever becomes the new president will do so only with its full consent. Many people who have been ministers in the central government have not got a place in the government this time. It is believed that they can be given the responsibility of the organization. Anurag Thakur, who was the Information and Broadcasting Minister in the previous government, has not been included in the Council of Ministers this time, he/she can be given a place in the organization. he/she has already been the president of the BJP Yuva Morcha. Similarly, many leaders including Smriti Irani can now be seen working in the organization.

Speculations are also rife on these two names
This has given the BJP an opportunity to look inside the party organization. Two names are being speculated for this post – General Secretary Vinod Tawde and Sunil Bansal. Vinod Tawde is from Maharashtra and has been a minister in the state government before joining national politics. Currently, he/she is the General Secretary in charge of Bihar and has handled many important responsibilities during the Lok Sabha elections. Tawde has gained prominence in a short time by implementing special campaigns and public relations programs run by the party for the beneficiaries.

Sunil Bansal is another leader who came into the limelight after playing a key role in UP as state general secretary (organisation) for the party. After UP, Bansal was given national assignments as general secretary in-charge of West Bengal, Odisha, Telangana. During the Lok Sabha election campaign, Bansal also handled call centres across the country, collected feedback and motivated party workers at the grassroots level. Bansal has won the trust of the BJP’s top leadership and has become a name for carefully handling party affairs. There is also a possibility that the party may retain Nadda as president for some time until the search for a new president is completed.
