Job Loss: In the second wave of Kovid-19, which age people got the most jobs, revealed in the survey

During the second wave of Kovid-19, the youngest and oldest employees were more among those who lost their jobs. This has come to light from a survey conducted among companies on the Fortune 500 list. This survey was conducted among two thousand people in India during April 2021. According to this survey conducted by the financial technology company FIS, in the second wave of Corona, six percent of employees over the age of 55 lost their jobs permanently.

Last year this figure was 4 percent. At the same time, 11 percent of the employees in the age group below 24 years lost their jobs permanently. This figure was 10 percent last year.

More than one crore Indians got jobs in the second wave
The Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE), a research institute studying the Indian economy, said in May that more than one crore Indians lost their jobs in the country due to the second wave of Kovid-19. Unemployment rate has touched a 12-month high of nearly 12 percent.

How many temporarily lost jobs
According to the survey, more people have lost their jobs this year than last year in all age categories. Nine percent of the employees in the age group of 18 to 24 were temporarily laid off during this period. Last year, 21 per cent of employees in the same age group were given temporary leave. While seven per cent of employees in the above 55 age group faced temporary layoffs this year, the figure was 13 per cent last year.

Additionally, 38 percent of youth in the age group of 18 to 14 said they witnessed fraud during 12 months, while 41 percent of employees in the age group of 25 to 29 reported seeing fraud, the company said.
