As the career of a software engineer progresses, his/her salary also increases. The salary of some engineers even increases to 2.15 lakh dollars (Rs 1.80 crore). According to Glassdoor, the average annual salary of a software engineer in Silicon Valley is $1.67 lakh (Rs 1.42 crore). The median salary ranges between $1.45 lakh (Rs 1.21 crore) to $1.96 lakh (Rs 1.64 crore). Salary mostly depends on experience.

Dominance of Indians in Silicon Valley
