On Tuesday, the 5th day of release, both the films together have done a business of only Rs 3.70 crore. Interestingly, the condition of both is almost the same. However, in the race of earnings, Rajkumar Rao and Trupti Dimri’s film has definitely left Alia Bhatt behind. Whereas on Monday there was a decline of -62.50% in its earnings. On the other hand, ‘Jigra’, directed by Vasan Bala, has definitely handled itself on Tuesday, but the collection is so low that there is no hope.

The condition of the worldwide collection is also bad.

Budget of ‘Jigar’ and ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Video’

If we compare both the films, ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ will definitely perform better than Alia Bhatt’s ‘Jigra’. But it would not be wrong to say that both the films have disappointed badly. The budget of ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ is Rs 40 crore. With the pace at which it is earning, it is now finding it difficult to reach its budget. Whereas there is doubt whether ‘Jigra’, made with a budget of Rs 80 crore, will be able to earn even half of its cost or not.

Both films could not woo

Rajkummar Rao and Trupti Dimri’s film is of comedy genre. But despite this it could not persuade. The film is earning better in small cities than in big and metro cities. But perhaps the name of this film is such that it is keeping the family audience away from it. On the other hand, ‘Jigra’ has faced rejection. Initially it seemed that it would be liked by the multiplex audiences of metro cities. But this did not happen.
