New Delhi. The second ODI between the Indian women’s cricket team and the team of Ireland (IND W vs IRE W) was played in Rajkot on Sunday. In this match, Team India registered a spectacular victory by 116 runs and won the ODI series. Indian captain Smriti Mandhana won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Team India made the highest score in history. Chasing 370 runs, the Irish team could score only 254 runs.

Batting first against Ireland, India scored a huge score of 370 runs for five wickets with Jemimah Rodrigues’ first ODI century and strong innings by the top order batsmen. Captain Smriti Mandhana, apart from playing an aggressive innings of 73 runs in 54 balls, gave a fast start to India by making a partnership of 156 runs in 114 balls with Pratika Rawal (67 runs in 60 balls) for the first wicket.

Jemima hit 12 fours in her innings of 102 runs in 91 balls. he/she made a big partnership of 183 runs in 168 balls for the third wicket with Harleen Deol (89 runs on 84 balls) and ensured the team’s big score. Indian batsmen took advantage of Ireland’s weak bowling and hit 44 fours and three sixes in 50 overs. Ireland had to score 371 runs to win but their team could score only 254 runs. he/she lost a total of 7 wickets.

Now it was Ireland’s turn to chase. Ireland played the entire 50 overs game but could not chase this score. Sarah Forbes, who came to bat first for Ireland, scored 38. Gabby Lewis, who came with her, scored only 12 runs. Apart from this, Coulter Reilly scored a brilliant 80 runs. Leah Paul scored 27 runs and Laura Dilany scored 37 runs. Ireland lost this series.
