JEE Main 2025: Session-2 schedule also released, forms will be filled from January 31, exam from April 1

The date for the second phase of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) for admission to engineering courses has also arrived. The registration process for the first phase will continue till November 22, 2024. Whereas for the second phase examination, applications can be made from January 31, 2025. jee main It takes place in two sessions (phases). Along with this, National Testing Agency (NTA) has also released the ranking formula if students have the same score.

JEE Mains: Session 1 and 2 exam schedule

JEE Main Session 1 exam will be held from January 22 to January 31, 2025 and the result will be declared by February 12. At the same time, students who want to appear for JEE Main Session 2 examination will be able to apply from January 31, 2025. 24th February will be the last date of application.

JEE Main is conducted in two stages. If a student appears in both the examinations then his/her best score is considered. Ranking is made on the basis of the best score of the two. A large number of students appear for both the stages of examination. Currently, applications can be made only for session 1. Based on this the application number will be generated.

After that, students who want to appear for the second phase examination will be able to apply from January 31 and their application number will remain the same as for the first phase examination. Students who will appear only for the second stage examination will get a new application number. The second phase examination will be held between 1-8 April 2025 and the result will be declared by 17 April. The result along with the final ranking will be out by April 17.

JEE Form: Fill only one

NTA has instructed the students to fill only one application form. If two forms are filled then the application will be cancelled. If there is some mistake in the information filled in the form, then an opportunity for correction will be given. After completion of the application process, the correction window will open. But do not make the mistake of filling two forms.

JEE Mains Tie Breaking: What will be the formula?

There will be a total of 75 questions in the BE-B.Tech paper and all will have to be answered. Four marks will be given for the correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for wrong answer. If you do not answer any question then you will not get any marks. In this way there will be a total of 300 marks paper. If there are equal marks between students and there is a tie then the formula has been decided.

First of all, NTA score of Maths will be seen. Even after this, if the marks remain the same then the NTA score of Physics will be seen. After that NTA score of Chemistry will be seen. Even after that, if there is a tie then it will be seen how many questions were answered correctly and how many wrong? After that, right and wrong questions in Maths will be seen. Then there will be score of Physics and Chemistry. Even after that, if the numbers remain the same then both will be given the same rank. JEE Main will be Computer Based Test (CBT).

Challenge increased due to change in JEE Main pattern

This time the pattern has been changed in JEE Main and now there will be no choice. That means a total of 75 questions will come and all will have to be answered. In this way the challenge for the students has increased. They will also have to make some changes in their preparation. Time management is very important now. For the last few years, candidates had to answer 5 out of 10 questions in each subject of Section ‘B’. Now there will be only 5 questions. Cutoff will also reduce but competition will increase.
