Which big institutes get admission through JEE Main?

On the basis of JEE Main result, there are 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), 26 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), 37 Government Funded Institutes of Technology (GFTIs), 3 Schools of Planning and Architecture (SPAs), 1 Indian Institute of Engineering and Technology in the country. Admission is also done in Technology-Shibpur and other private colleges.

Students who secure top 2.5 lakh rank in BE-B.Tech paper in JEE Main 2025 will get a chance to appear for JEE Advanced examination for admission to IITs. The number of seats in 23 IITs is also more than 17 thousand. Now there are also specialized courses, which are being prepared as per the demand of the industry.

Chairman of the Central Seat Allocation Board 2025 (CSAB 2025), Prof. K. Umamaheshwar Rao said, ‘There are many options available in engineering courses on the basis of JEE Main. Students from North East should also apply for this examination in large numbers. There are many talented students in the North East. he/she said that ‘Of course, there can be some stress in preparing for JEE Main exam, but with proper preparation the difficulties become easier. In 2025, around 2000 seats are expected to be available in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs in the state quota in the North-Eastern states.
