Javed Miandad’s reaction on organizing Champions Trophy, said it is a profitable deal

New Delhi. The dispute regarding hosting of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has ended. India will play its matches in this 50-over tournament at a neutral venue instead of the host country Pakistan. The same system will be applicable for Pakistan till 2027 and it will play the tournaments held in India at neutral venues. Former cricketers of Pakistan have heaved a sigh of relief. he/she says that finally the ICC was successful in ending the deadlock with India regarding the Champions Trophy. The schedule of the Champions Trophy has not been announced yet. It is being claimed in the report that the teams of India and Pakistan may clash on 23 February. Former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad says that PCB has benefited more from this than BCCI.

After India’s refusal to participate in the ICC Champions Trophy, the same Pakistani veterans were earlier saying that India will have to come, but when the demand did not materialize, their tone also changed. Javed Miandad said, ‘I think the PCB has shown wisdom and chose a solution instead of being isolated. In this, PCB has benefited more than BCCI. This arrangement will be applicable in the Champions Trophy 2025 (Pakistan), the Women’s Cricket World Cup to be held in India next year and the T20 World Cup to be held in India and Sri Lanka in 2026. India had refused to go to the tournament to be held in Pakistan in February March due to security reasons. India has not played in Pakistan since the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008. Former Pakistan captain Wasim Bari said, ‘All I can say is that their players and fans would have received a tremendous welcome if they came here.’
