Janhvi Kapoor has a habit of picking up things without asking, if your child also does this, then here are the ways to deal with it

Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor recently revealed some of her interesting habits. In an interview with Curly Tales, Janhvi revealed that she has a habit of shoplifting. She sometimes takes pillows from hotels without permission. Apart from this, in her childhood, she had bought some things from a shop without paying any money.

Not only Jhanvi, but all of us have committed petty thefts in our childhood. Actually, small children do not know the meaning of theft. Sometimes, out of mischief or to show their courage to others, they pick up things while walking. This is called shop lifting. In simple words, it means theft.

Shop lifting is a serious problem, especially if it happens outside the home, it can even embarrass parents. If your child also has the habit of shop lifting, then you should know how to deal with it as soon as possible.

take action immediately

If you know that your child has done something like this, then you should take action immediately. Do not wait for any proof. Because sometimes we are unable to prove that our child is not a thief. Especially when the child lies, do not trust him/her in this situation.

Tell the child the facts

Tell the child the facts

Tell your child by giving an example that if he/she takes money from your purse without telling you, you will not be able to give him/her money when needed. If the child has done something like this, then reduce his/her time playing video games and ask him/her to return the money.

Accept the child’s mistake

Accept the child's mistake

The child’s mistake should be accepted at the earliest. Because if the child escapes after stealing, then it is an even bigger problem. To get the truth out of the child, you can tell him/her – “I do not know for sure whether you have done this or not, but I strongly suspect that you have done this. If I am wrong then I am sorry, but what I have said is the truth.”

monitor the child

If your child has developed a habit of stealing, then you should monitor the child every moment. You should know where he/she goes, with whom he/she plays, who his/her friends are and how they are. If the child is in bad company, then there will be a greater possibility of him/her stealing. Try to keep him/her away from such friends.

Seek counseling

Seek counseling

Children who see daily fights at home develop the habit of stealing and lying. If your child has started stealing, you can take the help of a counselor to get rid of this bad habit.

As parents, you should tell your children of all age groups about the laws related to shop lifting or theft. Tell them that stealing is not only a bad thing, but doing so can also send them to jail.
