Jammu and Kashmir elections: India coalition government in exit poll, where did BJP get defeated? please understand

New Delhi : The results of the exit polls for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir have come. According to exit polls, India Coalition government seems to be formed. National Conference and Congress are expected to get 40 to 48 seats this time. BJP is expected to get 27 to 32 seats. It has come to light that PDP will get 6 to 12 seats. Others are also expected to get 6-10 seats. For majority in 90 assembly seats, 46 seats are needed. BJP seems to be facing a setback in these elections. According to C-Voter survey in Jammu region, BJP is expected to get 29-31 seats out of 43. According to exit poll, BJP seems to be getting 41 percent votes in Jammu. At the same time, BJP’s victory in Kashmir seems to be getting cleared. This is the first election after the removal of Article 370. In such a situation, the question arises that what is the reason for this setback for BJP.

Big blow to BJP in Kashmir

BJP has suffered a big setback in Kashmir. BJP is expected to get 0-1 seat in Kashmir. According to the exit poll survey, it is clear that BJP is not getting the benefit of removal of Article 370 in the valley. According to election analysts, BJP was already performing better in Jammu region. In such a situation, he/she was expected to perform better in the valley this time. According to C-Voter survey, BJP’s performance here was similar to last time. Last time also all 24 seats of BJP were from Jammu region only. The party had fielded 20 candidates in Kashmir.

Impact of being confined to Jammu

BJP’s focus remained on 43 seats of Jammu region. 43 seats of the 90-member Jammu and Kashmir Assembly fall in Jammu region and this area is a Hindu majority area. At the same time, there are 47 seats in Kashmir Valley. During the last few assembly elections, hung results were reported in Jammu and Kashmir. Most of the leaders who became CM belonged to the valley, but there was Ghulam Nabi Azad, who belonged to Jammu. Assembly elections were last held in Jammu and Kashmir in the year 2014. In this election, BJP had won 25 seats in Jammu region. BJP had formed the government in Jammu and Kashmir in alliance with PDP. Then BJP got the post of Deputy CM.

The party will emerge as the largest party in the ongoing assembly elections and will form its government in the Union Territory. Record voting in all three phases indicates that the BJP is going to get an absolute majority on October 8.

What will happen to BJP’s dream of Naya Kashmir?

BJP’s ‘commitment’ to fulfill the dream of ‘New Kashmir’ was also underlined. BJP said that it has voted in favor of BJP keeping in mind the development work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the last ten years. However, exit polls are presenting a different picture. If BJP’s claims are to be believed, then this time people have not given much importance to the work of PM Modi in the last 10 years.

How much support for Kashmiri Pandits?

Kashmiri Pandits had voted more than 30 percent in the third and final phase of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. Kashmiri Pandits had cast their votes at 24 special polling stations in Jammu, Udhampur and Delhi-NCR for 16 assembly constituencies in three districts of North Kashmir. In the second phase, about 40 per cent of eligible Kashmiri Pandits exercised their franchise at polling stations in Jammu, Delhi and Udhampur. In the first phase, more than 31 percent migrants exercised their franchise at polling stations in Jammu, Delhi and Udhampur on September 18 for 16 assembly constituencies of four districts of South Kashmir.

A lesson to those who snatched statehood?

Congress had appealed to the voters during the assembly elections that this is an election of self-respect and rights and this is the last chance to teach a lesson to those who snatched the statehood. he/she had said that every vote is valuable in ensuring better employment opportunities for the youth, fighting the corrupt, protecting their land rights and ensuring progress and prosperity. At the same time, votes were sought from BJP in the name of keeping Jammu and Kashmir away from terrorism, separatism, nepotism and corruption. BJP had appealed to the voters to cast historic vote for tourism, education, employment and all-round development in Jammu and Kashmir.

When we formed the government in Jammu and Kashmir ten years ago, our aim was to spread nationalism in the region and silence anti-national voices. Due to some issues we were out of the government. We have no regrets.

Ram Madhav, BJP in-charge, Jammu and Kashmir

Ram Madhav factor also remained ineffective

This time in Jammu and Kashmir, Ram Madhav factor also appeared ineffective for BJP. This time, after a long time, the party had given an active role to Ram Madhav. The party made him/her in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir. Ram Madhav had played an important role in forming the coalition government of BJP with PDP in Jammu and Kashmir 10 years ago. This time Ram Madhav was seen more active in the entire election. Ram Madhav had claimed that BJP will emerge as the largest party in the elections to be held in Jammu and Kashmir. he/she had said that apart from winning 35 seats in Jammu region, the party will also register victory in Kashmir.

The wait for the first Hindu Chief Minister increased

Before the elections, there was also talk that after the victory of BJP, Jammu and Kashmir may get the first Hindu Chief Minister. Actually, the reason behind this claim was the rhetoric made during the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. BJP has openly said during the election campaign that this time it will form a government with full majority in the state. The new Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir will be from Jammu region only. If we look at the history of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, this has not happened till now, but this time there was a reason for the name of a Hindu Chief Minister to get emphasis.
