It is impossible for ‘The Sabarmati Report’ to be a hit! Air tight in second week, I want to talk, unconscious on 7th day

Vikrant Massey’s ‘The Sabarmati Report’ has completed its two-week journey at the box office. In these 14 days, the film has traveled from hope to despair. The way its earnings started getting stronger at the end of the first week, ‘Aasha’ raised hopes that it too could be a hit like the actor’s ’12th Fail’. But the way the earnings kept falling after the second weekend, finally ‘Disappointment’ has hit. On the other hand, there is Abhishek Bachchan’s ‘I Want to Talk’, which is not getting any audience in theatres. This film has become unconscious in the first week itself. However, there are full indications that the earnings of ‘The Sabarmati Report’ based on the Godhra incident will increase on Friday. 29th November is National Cinema Lover’s Day. In such a situation, tickets are available for Rs 99 in multiplexes. The interesting thing is that by Thursday night, Vikrant Massey’s film had taken the maximum advance booking of 39,000 tickets, beating ‘Singham Again’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. Whereas Ajay Devgan and Kartik Aryan’s films together have pre-booked 60,000 tickets.

‘The Sabarmati Report’ box office collection day 14

However, according to the report of sacnilk, in the second week, this film directed by Dheeraj Sarna has done a total business of Rs 10.50 crore. A day earlier on Wednesday it had earned Rs 85 lakh, and on Tuesday and Monday it had earned Rs 90 lakh. ‘The Sabarmati Report’ has made a total net collection of Rs 22.00 crore in the country in 14 days.

Opportunity to earn for one week, but ‘Pushpa 2’ is coming again

The budget of ‘The Sabarmati Report’ is Rs 50 crore. However, before the release of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, it definitely has a week’s time to earn money, but looking at the pace of earning, it does not seem that it will be able to recover its budget.

‘I Want to Talk’ earned only Rs 1.96 crore in the first week

On the other hand, there is Abhishek Bachchan’s ‘I Want to Talk’, directed by Shoojit Sircar, which has failed at the box office in the first week itself. While this film, made with a budget of Rs 40 crore, received praise from critics, the audience rejected it in theatres. The number of viewers in film shows is 7%. It earned only Rs 10 lakh on Thursday. Whereas the total business of the film in seven days is Rs 1.94 crore.
