It is difficult for Team India’s star to play the second test, he/she may be released

New Delhi. Star batsman Sarfaraz Khan from the Indian team made a place in Team India by performing brilliantly in domestic cricket. This batsman, who made his/her Test debut against England, did not get a chance to play in the first match against Bangladesh. Now he/she is not getting a place in the playing eleven in the second match as well. This batsman has been selected in the Rest of India for the Irani Trophy. This makes it clear that he/she is not playing in the Kanpur Test.

Sarfaraz Khan, wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel and fast bowler Yash Dayal will not play in the second Test match against Bangladesh starting on September 27 in Kanpur. After being named in the team selected for the Irani Cup, it is almost certain that everyone will be released from the Indian team. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced the Rest of India team led by Ruturaj Gaikwad for the Irani Cup to be played against Ranji champions Mumbai in Lucknow from October 1 to 5.

According to a release from the BCCI, “Dhruv Jurel and Yash Dayal have been selected in the Rest of India squad but their participation in the Irani Cup is dependent on their not participating in the second Test match against Bangladesh in Kanpur.”

According to sources in the Indian team, if Rishabh Pant gets injured in this match, then Lokesh Rahul can play the role of wicketkeeper in his/her place. In such a situation, releasing Jurel would not be risky. If Sarfaraz does not get a place in the Indian XI, then he/she can also be released from the national team for the Irani Cup. he/she can be a part of the Mumbai team led by Ajinkya Rahane.

BCCI said, “Sarfaraz Khan has been retained in the Indian team for the second Test. If he/she does not become a part of the playing eleven in the second Test match against Bangladesh in Kanpur, he/she will be released to represent the Mumbai team.”
Rest of India: Ruturaj Gaikwad (captain), Abhimanyu Easwaran (vice-captain), Sai Sudarshan, Devdutt Padikkal, Dhruv Jurel (wicketkeeper), Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Manav Suthar, Saransh Jain, Prasidh Krishna, Mukesh Kumar, Yash Dayal, Ricky Bhui, Shashvat Rawat, Khaleel Ahmed, Rahul Chahar.
