Israeli hostage Angam Berger issued by Hamas released as part of the ceasefire deal


482 days since Hamas was held in captivity after the October 7 attack, the Israeli hostage Agam Barger was freed in the early hours of Thursday (local time) as part of the latest prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas.

The Times of Israel reported that Agam Berger re -joined his/her family in an IDF facility inside Israel.

Two additional Israeli captives, – Rabel Yehod, 29, and Gadi Moses, 80, the oldest known hostages are still in captivity – with five Thai citizens, also ready to be released later today.

Berger is being airlifted by an Israeli Air Force helicopter with his/her family to Rabin Medical Center in Central Israel. She will meet the rest of her family members and receive medical care after an initial checkup in an army facility near Gaza border,

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shared a video on X on the AGAM release and wrote, “Agam was re -merged with the IDF, 482 days after being surrounded by terrorists.”

In another post, it was written, “This is what it looks like at home.”

According to the latest update, seven hostages, including two Israel and five foreign nationals, have been transferred to the Red Cross and are on their way to move to Israeli forces.

The IDF said in a post on X, “According to information informed by Red Cross, seven hostages, including two Israel and five foreign nationals, were transferred to them and are on their way to the IDF and ISA forces in Gaza.”

Another Israeli hostage, Arbel Yehod, was also handed over to the Red Cross amidst chaotic scenes. he/she was forced to run through a huge crowd of an Islamic jihad vehicle from a red cross vehicle to a huge crowd of Jerying spectators, as reported by the time of Israel.

A vehicle carrying Arbel Yehod and Gadi Mojes struggled to incite their path through a large crowd of spectators, mid -welling sirens. Hundreds of heavy armed, masked gunmen also surrounded the vehicles, pushed the audience. Reports reported by Arab media, Hamas leader Yahya is ready to be a handover among the ruins of Sinavar’s house.

According to Channel 12 report, Israel has been informed that five Thai workers will be freed with Israeli hostage Arbel Yehoud and Gadi Moses.

As part of Thursday’s exchange, Israel is ready to release 110 Palestinian prisoners.

The next prisoner exchange is scheduled for fourth, Saturday, when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that male hostages will be released.

According to Israeli officials, the release of Berger also leaves 88 hostages – living and dead in Gaza.

On October 7, 2023, Hamas attacked Southern Israel, with more than 1,200 people, mostly citizens and more than 200 others. More than 46,000 Palestinians have also been killed in Gaza in the counter-invasion of Israel against Hamas.

Earlier, in November 2023, more than 100 hostages were freed during a week -long ceasefire.
