Islamists in Bangladesh, the banned group banned in Bangladesh has become a more active post fall of the Government of Hasina, says Bangladesh Professor.


Professor of Public Administration Department, Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah admitted that Islamic groups in Bangladesh have gained more freedom after Sheikh Hasina left the country.

“Absolutely you know, Islamist, they have been successful in making a big place in the public domain. And Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has strengthened its position. The Hefazat-e-Islam movement has become stronger. Persons like colleagues have gained prominence. Even HIZB UT -Tahrir, they are a robbery organization, but they are visible in leaflets, posters and different places. Waving, they are marching on the streets, even press conferences have been called. So this organization is not yet a legal unit and is officially behind the bar. The ban is still, but really they are working, ”he/she said.

Referring to the incident on Wednesday for the residence of Bangladesh, the founder father of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Kalimullah said that the crowd was seen waving flags and putting posters there.

The Dhaka Tribune reported that many protesters allegedly climbed the second floor using hammer, craub and wooden planks to destroy the paintings of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and destroy the paintings of the historic house.
