Is PM Modi playing on Congress’s pitch? From Maharashtra to Jharkhand, why is the Constitution being discussed?

New Delhi: There is an uproar over the red colored Constitution book of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. BJP has targeted Congress and Rahul Gandhi. The red colored Constitution seen in the hands of Rahul Gandhi in the Maharashtra election rally has now changed into political colour. BJP raised questions and asked what message does Rahul want to give? Congress hit back saying that red color is considered auspicious in Hindu religion. Now PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are also attacking Rahul Gandhi and Congress on this issue. The issue of Red Constitution has become heated in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised this issue while addressing an election rally in Nanded, Maharashtra and fired several sharp arrows at the Congress. PM Modi said, ‘Congress has broken its own record in fraud. Congress people are distributing their own Lal Kitab in the name of the Constitution. It is written on the red book of Congress – Constitution of India! But when people opened it from inside, they found that the Lal Kitab was blank.

‘Congress’s old thinking of abolishing the Constitution’

he/she further said, ‘Getting Lal Kitab printed in the name of the Constitution, removing the words of the Constitution from it. This is an example of Congress’s old thinking of abolishing the Constitution. These Congress people want to run their own constitution in the country and not that of Baba Saheb. Congress and its allies hate Baba Saheb’s Constitution.

‘Congress committed the first betrayal of the Constitution…’

PM Modi said, ‘After independence, the Congress Party first betrayed Baba Saheb’s Constitution in Kashmir. The entire country accepted Baba Saheb’s constitution. But Congress Party introduced separate legislation in Kashmir through Article 370. A different flag was used in place of our tricolor in Kashmir. Congress did not give any rights to the Dalits of Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmir continued to burn in the fire of terrorism for so many decades, separatism continued to flourish there. The country was not even allowed to know that there were two constitutions in this country for 75 years.

Rahul Gandhi insulted the Constitution: Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing the election rally at Chhatarpur assembly seat in Jharkhand on Saturday, accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of insulting the Constitution. he/she said that ‘The book with red cover that Rahul Gandhi waves in the name of the Constitution in public meetings, may have the Constitution of India written on it, but its pages are blank. he/she shows the fake book. This is an insult to the Constitution of India and Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Shah got furious at Congress

Shah said, ‘Congress talks about reservation and the Constitution, but it plays with it the most. There is no provision for reservation on the basis of religion in the Constitution, but Congress has assured the delegation of Ulemas in Maharashtra that it will help in getting 10 percent reservation for Muslims. he/she said that Congress wants to give reservation to Muslims by cutting the share of Dalits, backward classes and tribals, but as long as Bharatiya Janata Party is there, this will not be allowed to happen.

Where did the spark come from?

Rahul Gandhi reached Nagpur on Thursday to campaign for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. he/she participated in the Constitution Honor Conference and expressed his/her views on the Constitution. Rahul Gandhi said that the Constitution written by Baba Saheb Ambedkar is not just a book but a way of life. he/she raised important issues like caste census, OBC reservation and protection of the Constitution. During this, a red colored book was distributed, on which the Constitution was written, but it was empty from inside. Since then, BJP has started cornering Rahul Gandhi and Congress.
