‘Is death penalty constitutional in India?’ CJI Chandrachud asked a question to AI lawyer, know what answer he/she got from the front

New Delhi: Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud attended the inauguration ceremony of the National Judicial Museum and Archives (NJMA) in the Supreme Court today. During the inauguration ceremony he/she asked a question to the AI ​​lawyer. CJI asked a question regarding the constitutional validity of death penalty in India, on which he/she got a very satisfactory answer from AI.What did the CJI ask the AI?
CJI Chandrachud arrived at the inauguration ceremony of the National Judicial Museum and Archives (NJMA) today. During this time he/she was accompanied by other judges and an army of lawyers. During this time he/she also used the Artificial Intelligence present there. he/she asked the AI ​​lawyer whether death penalty is constitutional in India? CJI also got the answer to this question with the help of this new technology.

The AI ​​lawyer, while replying to CJI Chandrachud’s question, said that yes, death penalty is constitutional in India, but it is imposed only in rare cases and as per certain specific guidelines. The CJI seemed satisfied with the answer given regarding death penalty and after that he/she moved ahead.

What did CJI say on the inauguration of the museum?
Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said that it took about one and a half years to conceive and plan this museum. The actual construction took about six months. This has been done along with the functioning of the court. We thought that we need not just a museum of artefacts, but a museum on the lines of the best museums internationally that showcases the importance of our institution and the High Courts in providing justice to our citizens and protecting their fundamental rights. It symbolizes the importance of the court in the life of our country.

Therefore, on behalf of all my colleagues, I am happy to dedicate this museum to the nation, so that this museum can become an interactive place for the young generation.
