Just after winning the T20 World Cup, Virat Kohli announced his/her retirement from T20I cricket. Soon after this, Rohit Sharma and within 24 hours Ravindra Jadeja also bid farewell to the T20I format. Since then, various speculations were being made about Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah has completely rejected the questions and speculations related to his/her retirement.

The Indian team won the T20 World Cup by defeating South Africa on 29 June. After becoming the world champion, the Indian team returned home on Thursday. Team India’s stars met Prime Minister Narendra Modi as soon as they arrived in India. After this, the team took part in the Victory Parade in Mumbai. The Victory Parade which started from Nariman Point ended at the Wankhede Stadium, where preparations for the team’s felicitation ceremony had already been made. In this ceremony, Bumrah completely dismissed the speculations of retirement.

30-year-old Bumrah took 15 wickets in the T20 World Cup 2024. he/she was named Player of the Tournament. On winning the World Cup, he/she said, ‘After winning the T20 World Cup, there were tears of joy on the face of every player. I got emotional after seeing my son. Usually this does not happen but at that time I had no words to say. I started crying and cried two-three times.’
