New Delhi. The upcoming auction of the Indian Premier League will be held in November. This auction of cricketers will be held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Sources in the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) have confirmed this. This time many veteran players will participate in the auction. For this reason it is also being called IPL Mega Auction. In this players auction, bidding will be held for India’s star players like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Arshdeep Singh.

A source in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said, ‘The IPL auction will be held in Riyadh. All the franchisees have been informed about this. The probable dates of the auction are 24th and 25th November. Even last year the IPL auction was not held in India. 72 players were bid in the auction held in Dubai on 19 December.

This time 46 players were retained
All 10 franchises had released the retained list for IPL 2025 on October 31. A total of 46 players have been retained. Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals have retained the maximum number of 6-6 players. Punjab Kings have retained at least 2 players in their team.

641.5 crores at stake
A total of Rs 641.5 crore is left with the 10 franchises for the auction to be held in November this year. With this amount, bids can be placed on 204 players (maximum). Of these, 70 places are for foreign players. All 10 teams have spent a total of Rs 558.5 crore in retaining 46 players.

Pant-KL-Iyer-Arshdeep…
This time, the players who will be most closely watched in the auction include Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan and Arshdeep Singh. It is certain that bids worth more than Rs 10 crore will be placed on all these players. Among foreign players, teams can bet big on Mitchell Starc, Jos Buttler, Aiden Markram, Faf du Plessis.
