IPL 2025 Auction: Rs 110 crore spent within an hour, huge bidding on 6 players, Pant was the most expensive


New Delhi. On November 24, the first day of the IPL 2025 auction, Rs 110 crore was spent within an hour of the start of the event. All the franchises bid heavily on their favorite players. Rishabh Pant was the most expensive player till date. Lucknow Supergiants included him/her in their team by paying Rs 27 crores.

Bidding started from Arshdeep Singh. There was a lot of bidding on Arshdeep. There was a race between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings regarding Arshdeep Singh. But in the end Arshdeep returned home and Punjab included him/her in the team by paying Rs 18 crores. The second bid was placed on South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada. Gujarat Titans joined them by bidding Rs 10.75 crore.

The third bid was placed on former Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer. There was a competition between Delhi and Punjab regarding these. In the mega auction, Punjab Kings team added Shreyas Iyer to their team for Rs 26 crore 75 lakh. The fourth player was Jos Buttler, whom Gujarat included in their team by paying Rs 15.75 crores. Mitchell Starc was the fifth player. Whom Delhi finally included in its team for Rs 11.75 crore.

Pant was the most expensive
A total of 6 players were bid within the first hour. The sixth player among these was Pant. The most expensive player was Rishabh Pant. LSG included Pant in their team by bidding Rs 27 crores. At one time it seemed that he/she would be left with around Rs 21-22 crores but that did not happen. Lucknow came at the last moment and threw its dice.
