New Delhi. The last date of IPL retention is near. Most of the IPL franchises have prepared the list of players to be retained. Like there is news about Sunrisers Hyderabad that this time the franchise can retain three foreign and two Indian players. No team including SRH has released its list yet. All the teams have to submit the list of retained players to BCCI by 31st October.

Sunrisers Hyderabad had placed a bet of Rs 20.50 crore on Australia’s Pat Cummins for IPL 2024. Cummins became the most expensive player in IPL 2024 after Mitchell Starc (24.75 crores). But Pat Cummins may lag behind another player in IPL 2025. According to Cricinfo, Sunrisers Hyderabad can retain Heinrich Klaasen for Rs 23 crore. Heinrich Klaasen of South Africa is also a wicketkeeper.

According to reports, Sunrisers Hyderabad will retain Pat Cummins and Abhishek Sharma apart from Heinrich Klaasen. Apart from this, efforts will be made to retain Travis Head and Nitish Kumar Reddy in the team. Cummins can be retained for 18 crores and Abhishek Sharma can be retained for 14 crores. Pat Cummins can be seen captaining Sunrisers Hyderabad in the next season also. In IPL, any franchise can spend a maximum of Rs 120 crore on players in a season.

Sunrisers Hyderabad reached the final of IPL 2024. However, she missed out on winning the title. Kolkata Knight Riders won the IPL title by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad. The SRH team, which scored big in the group stage, could not bear the pressure of the final and was all out after scoring 113 runs in 18.3 overs. In reply, KKR achieved the target by losing 2 wickets in 10.3 overs.
