New Delhi. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) made a different kind of record in IPL 2024. Chennai Super Kings fielded Richard Gleeson against Punjab Kings. With this, 36-year-old Richard Gleeson has become the oldest player to debut for Chennai Super Kings.

Richard Gleeson is a fast bowler from England. Chennai Super Kings included Gleeson in the team as a replacement for Devon Conway. Conway is out of IPL 2024 due to injury. Richard Gleeson has been replaced by Mathisha Pathirana in the playing eleven of Chennai Super Kings. Pathirana is not playing this match due to injury. He is at fourth position in the race for Purple Cap of IPL 2024 with 13 wickets.

Imran Tahir made his debut in IPL at the age of 35 years and 44 days. Jalaj Saxena played his first match in IPL at the age of 34 years 124 days and Keshav Maharaj played his first match in IPL at the age of 34 years 63 days.
